Producer
Bongiwe Selane is an award-winning producer who has made short films, televisions shows and ground-breaking feature films. Her debut feature as a producer, “Happiness is a Four-Letter Word”, went on to break box office records in South Africa.
She’s been part of labs and markets at all the major festivals and is a graduate of the EAVE Producers Workshop (European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs).

SAMANTHA NELL
Director
Samantha Nell is a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts Asia. Over her career as a filmmaker she has made short films on four continents.
Her shorts have premiered at major film festivals including the Director’s Fortnight at Cannes, Durban International Film Festival and Locarno. Her accolades include Best Short Film at the Africa International Film Festival and a nomination for a Brazilian Academy Award.

ZOË LABAND
Writer
Zoë Laband is an award-winning screenwriter and script editor. She’s a graduate of York University in Toronto. She’s written for soap operas in South Africa and won a SAFTA for “The Girl From St Agnes”, a Showmax original.
She currently has several films in development with Netflix and other platforms.
